House Julian

The starting point in the design of this house was the desire of the client to keep the existing building as much as possible, to complete it and to make a reconstruction and expansion so that the required functional and quantitative parameters be achieved. The location of the building on site is predetermined and the existing one is being completed from three sides. In shaping the surrounding area, an important element is the river to which the house is “opened”.

An outside observer once said that the house looked like a “fairy tale house”. The arcade of the terrace on the main floor, the twisted staircase leading from it to the yard, and the terraced layout of the surrounding area certainly contribute to this feeling.
