Residential building Chavdar
This is a multifamily building in a complex solution. It is the result of the client’s wishes for a maximum number of apartments as well as possibility for them to be combined in bigger ones or divided into smaller ones. This leads to a diverse layouts of the apartments and to only two floors with identical residential units. Another firm requirement of the client was for the building to be with sloping roofs. The wanted image was of a traditional Bulgarian architecture – to be distinctive from the surrounding buildings yet fit to the environment.
With its proportions, delicate plasticity of windows and loggias, its body and openings, with its wide eaves, and the careful use of decorative elements, the building exudes tranquility. It is an example for a structure with well-maintained proportions that have always been important for us, regardless of the size of a building.
